This is the level that introduces us to the beauty of the Vortex Tower. So now you can recycle the bad vibes and use the absorbed energy to feed back into other towers you have linked up. Yes, the bad guys do get very tough this time, so you need to slow 'em down! Everything seems hunkydory for several rounds, then, if you haven't done the ground work, you will be well and truly scuppered.
Actually I find your solution to be nearly impossible to complete without losing a life (not saying its not possible, maybe the difficulty has changed or since I can't see what order you add/upgrade towers I can't figure it out). Here is my solution for any others that have the same difficulty.

first you put down the blue laser towers.
then all the yellow shock towers.
then add the pink missle towers.
next upgrade the top three pink towers to level 5. Then upgrade the top two yellow towers and the one in the middle to level 7. next go along the side and upgrade the pink and yellow towers to level 5 for the pinks and 7 for the yellows. then do the bottom row. If you want (you dont have to) you can upgrade the pink ones to level 6 (never upgrade to level 7, its not much stronger than level 6 and its way too slow to be effective in most cases) and you can also upgrade the blue laser towers if you want. You don't have to upgrade the pink towers past level 5 or the blue towers past the first level (technically, you can even delete them after you upgrade the first 3 pink towers to tell the truth) but I like to make things look pretty and it makes me feel safe even though its unneccessary, plus I get bored sitting there for 5 or so levels with nothing to do. >.<
Oh and I realized in the photo I had locked the blue towers along the lines, you dont want to do that until near the end... you need them to spin around and get creeps as you upgrade the pink and yellow towers. Like I said I just like things to look pretty. (maybe I'm OCD lol)

ReplyDeleteGreat ideas - nice one! I have added another method for the level at http://geo-defense.blogspot.com/2010/09/medium-level-2-gordy-take-two.html. This one uses a special trick with the Vortex Towers that is also good eye-candy.
I have tried this exactly like you said and I can't even get past level 16. Can you check the way you have it typed out and see if you missed something. As I am trying to get the top 3 pink to level 5, everything is making it through. I can't beat this level. I have tried everything!!!!!!
